A Play, A Pie and A Pint (PPP) has been central to my theatre career. From 2015 to 2024, I worked alongside Jonny Scott as part of a two-person design team. Together with stage and production managers Sooz Glen and, more recently, Sam Ramsey, we were involved with everything seen on stage at Òran Mór during those years.
With a brand-new play staging every single week—around 35 a year—the workload was intense but incredibly rewarding. For the shows featured below, I personally handled set and costume design, buying, sourcing, hiring, scenic painting, prop making, dressing, graphics and logistics. In total, I was involved in bringing close to 300 plays to life for PPP alone. Collaborating to showcase new work from a dynamic mix of emerging Scottish based creatives to the country’s most established writers, directors, actors and institutions.
