info & CV

Hello, thank you for coming to have a look at my work.

I have over 15 years experience of working in Theatre, and for the past 2 years I have been working predominately in Film & TV. My first professional contract was as a Scenic Artist for Pitlochry Festival Theatre, in 2010/11. Going onto the RCS designing the Set for Gilgamesh. In 2014 I went to Cumbernauld Theatre for their Intimate secrets season and Panto and then spent almost ten years as the full time Designer for A Play, A Pie and a Pint.

For PPP alone I have worked on approximately 300 plays with one other Designer, Jonny Scott. We made, built, sourced, bought, hired, painted, dressed each new play’s set and costume requirements. Whilst being responsible for all logistics of bringing each design to fruition and to the venue to be set up. PPP has two seasons a year, a new play each week, culminating in a Summer and Winter Panto. Approximately 35 new plays a year.  This schedule required  a strong work ethic, excellent organisational skills, I have had to turn my hand to a variety of tasks, working and collaborating with a huge range of directors, writers, and performers. A large number of plays toured to other venues, including The Traverse Edinburgh, The Lemon Tree Aberdeen, Macrobert Stirling,  Dumfries and Galloway, Ayr, Mull, Wales, to name a few. I am experienced in working under pressure, to tight timescales, having frequently worked on upwards of 5 plays simultaneously.

During Lockdown I volunteered to help Stephen Skrynka in building a Wall
of Death, aka The Revelator. It was rewarded a Certificate of Excellence for Outstanding New Participant in Glasgow’s Doors Open Days Festival in 2022.

Since 2024 I have gone Freelance and have been working mostly in Film and TV.
