The wall of death aka the revelator

Made with love in Lockdown

Brainchild of artist Stephen Skrynka, The Revelator first began in his garden at the start of Lockdown. No plan, no drawings, Stephen began cutting out each wooden slat, carving dove tail joints with the aim of building his own Wall of Death.

Moving from his garden to the Barclay Curle on South Street, more volunteers joined his troupe including myself. The Revelator is something I am very proud and privileged to say I have been involved with. Since it’s completion it has went on to be much more than a Wall of Death but an art/performance space, hosting Art, Theatre, Scottish Ballet, Opera, numerous films, Ken Loach in conversation with David Archibald, a dog show, it’s own Glasgow Biennial “Feed The Hand that Bites You’ Festival of Rejects hosting 17 pieces of work in 17 days! To name only a few…

In 2022 it was awarded Outstanding New Participant at Glasgow Doors Open Day Festival.
